Will Ospreay (CHAOS) vs. Dragon Lee (c) – IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship

Ospreay went for a wristlock right away, but Dragon Lee flipped out. Lee went for a snapmare, but Ospreay flipped out. Both men then went for a series of fast paced moves, and every single one of them were countered, ending with Dragon Lee hitting a dropkick, not giving Ospreay a change to pose after the exchange. Ospreay hit a kick and then a top rope 619 before hitting a tope, sending Lee crashing to the floor.

Ospreay hit a killer chop on Lee, picked him up, and sent him back into the ring. Ospreay hit an elbow and got a 1 count. Ospreay locked in a submission, trying to hyper extend the arm of Lee, looking a lot like Zack Sabre Jr. Lee kicked out, as it ended with his shoulders on his mat. Ospreay went for a flying forearm, but Lee hit an STO.

Lee hit a series of hard forearms like his mentor, Shibata. He hit a corner to corner dropkick after dodging an attempt at the same by Ospreay. Ospreay kicked out after a suplex. Ospreay hit a handspring flipping kick, and followed up with a springboard forearm, but Lee kicked out. Ospreay went for the Flying Space Tiger Drop, but Lee moved and Ospreay landed on his feet. Lee hit a flying knee, sending Ospreay onto the guardrail. Lee hit the ropes and did a suicide dive, sending Ospreay and Lee over the guardrail into the announce table, taking out Milano Collection AT! Holy crap!

Back in the ring, Lee went for a deadlift German Suplex, but Ospreay fought out. Lee managed to hit a straight jacket German suplex, but Ospreay kicked out. Lee put Ospreay in the tree of woe, but Ospreay sat up and both men exchanged strikes. As Lee went for the double stomp, Ospreay kicked Lee in the face and hit a massive corkscrew moonsault to the floor! Ospreay immediately began selling his ribs, so you have to wonder if that will play into the match.

Ospreay hit a huge inverted brainbuster, but Lee kicked out. Ospreay hit a hook kick and called for the Stormbreaker, but Lee fought out. Ospreay kicked him in the face and went for it again, but Lee fought out and after a series of counters, Lee hit a DDT and held on. Lee rolled through and went for a suplex into the corner, but Ospreay countered it into a stunner!

Both men started to exchange forearms, ending with Lee hitting a big one, but Ospreay hit a hook kick. Lee hit a release German suplex, but Ospreay landed on his feet, did a back flip, but was hit with a knee and suplex. Dragon Lee went for a hurricanrana over the top rope onto the apron to the floor, but Ospreay landed on his feet! Ospreay powerbombed Lee on the apron and hit a shooting star press, but Lee kicked out!

Ospreay hit the Robinson special and went for the OsCutter, but Lee hit a knee strike to Ospreay’s back, and both men are down! Ospreay rolled to the apron to get away and Lee picked him up. Ospreay hit a huge kick to the back of the head of Lee and went to the top rope. Lee cut him off and hit a double stomp to the floor on Ospreay! Holy crap. This match is insane. Ospreay barely made it back into the ring before Dragon Lee killed him with a knee to the head.

Ospreay fights out of a desnucadora and kicked Dragon Lee in the head. Lee went to throw him, but Ospreay landed on his feet, went for a Last Ride, but Lee floated over into a Canadian Destroyer and then hit a flying knee. Ospreay kicked out! Lee pulled down the knee pad and went for another knee, but Ospreay caught it. Lee hit a standing flying knee and Ospreay ate it. Lee went for desnucadora, but Ospreay flipped out, hit a superkick, a hook kick, hidden blade, OsCutter, and Stormbreaker before getting the pinfall! We have a new champion!

Dragon Lee strapped the title around Ospreay’s waist, showing great respect for his friend. Will Ospreay has shown he is the top junior heavyweight in the world, and they announced that he will face Robbie Eagles in Australia at Southern Showdown. What’s next for Will Ospreay in NJPW?
