A new pay-per-view will make its debut in a matter of days with WWE Stomping Grounds 2019, a show that has been treated as more of an afterthought in recent weeks.

WWE Stomping Grounds 2019 will be the first installment of a new pay-per-view, but thanks to the recent Super ShowDown event, Stomping Grounds has not had much of a chance to succeed with very little focus being put into it.

This is a pretty underwhelming – and currently unfinished – card that resembles Super ShowDown 2.0 in certain aspects, but that doesn’t mean several Superstars can’t greatly benefit from a win.  Let’s take a look at the three Superstars in need of a win the most at WWE Stomping Grounds 2019.

3. Bayley

It had been over two years since Bayley last held a singles Women’s Championship in the WWE, but thanks to winning the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match and successfully cashing in later that night, Bayley became the SmackDown Women’s Champion and ended that long drought.

Since becoming the champion, Bayley has felt a bit edgier than she has been in recent memory.  The taste of championship success has given her character a needed kick in the pants, but an old enemy in the form of The Goddess has emerged over the past few weeks and is looking to yet again dethrone a Bayley Women’s Championship reign.

Alexa Bliss won a Triple Threat Match a couple of weeks ago to become the number one contender for Bayley’s SmackDown Women’s Championship.  It was Bliss who ended Bayley’s previous Women’s Title reign back in 2017, a feud that many feel set Bayley back and one that took far too long to bounce back from.  Can lightning strike twice or will Bayley prove she’s a different Superstar this time around?

This feels like a needed win for Bayley if there ever was one.  Bliss hasn’t even wrestled much over the past few months, so it would look bad on Bayley’s part to yet again lose to her.  Not to mention, Bayley’s title reign needs to go on longer than just a month because a short reign – coupled with another title loss to Bliss – could set her back even farther than she was following her previous title loss to Bliss.

Bayley’s future could have a lot riding on this match, so she needs to walk away with the SmackDown Women’s Championship around her waist.
