WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship Match: Bayley (c) vs. Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross
Next up we saw Bayley defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship against the team of Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross. Things started quickly with Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross making some quick tags in and out to wear down Bayley.
The champion fought through it well, continuing to fend off the numbers advantage as best she could. However, the tide turned when Alexa Bliss sent Bayley careening off the apron and face-first into the steel stairs.
Bliss wore her down before tagging Nikki in, and Cross continued the onslaught. Some quick thinking by Cross moving the apron tripped Bayley up and left her caught between the apron and the ring. Bayley tried to fight out of the position, only to feel a dropkick to the back by Alexa Bliss.
Bliss directed Cross to make the tag right then, and Alexa put herself back into position to keep control of the champion. She continued to wear her down and hit Insult to Injury, which garnered a near fall.
The champion looked to turn the tide by fighting back. After neutralizing Alexa for a moment, Bayley dove to the outside to take down Nikki Cross. Bayley continued to wear down Alexa, but Cross tagged herself back in.
Nikki went right after Bayley only to catch a quick suplex. Bayley continued her momentum by locking Cross in a version of an indian deathlock. Bliss went to break it up, but Bayley snagged her and locked her into a crossface at the same time.

Neither woman would tap out, finally fighting out of the move and trying to put the momentum back with them. Cross got Bayley down and Bliss tagged herself in, going for Twisted Bliss to end it. Unfortunately, Bayley got her knees up.
Cross tagged herself back in and tried to leap off the top with a crossbody, but Bayley blocked it with a stiff knee and followed that up with an elbow drop from the top to pin Nikki Cross and retain her championship.
Grade: B+, This was gonna be a bit of a mess just by nature of the stipulation, but things actually turned out really good. Bliss and Cross had a lot of good moments, but Bayley got the classic fan-favorite overcoming the odds moment. Good stuff.
Last Man Standing Match: Braun Strowman vs. Bobby Lashley
Next up we had an absolute car crash of a match. Following the devastating and abrupt ending to their Falls Count Anywhere Match on WWE Raw, the expectation was something similarly violent here.
The match got off to a quick start as Strowman threw Lashley out of the ring and began tossing him into the barricade. He followed it up with a huge running shoulder tackle, going for a second one as well only to eat a spear from Lashley.
Bobby Lashley then turned the tide and got himself some momentum as the action spilled into the crowd. Lashley grabbed a steel chair, swinging it at Strowman to deal some damage as Strowman climbed up the stairs of the arena through the crowd.
The action then spilled into the mezzanine of the Wells Fargo Center where fans surrounded an area of concessions that had been blocked off by security to keep them away from Strowman and Lashley.
“The All Mighty” continued his onslaught, sending Strowman into the concrete wall before the action spilled into a WWE merchandise area. Lashley looked to suplex Strowman on the floor, but, Braun countered it with a suplex of his own that sent Lashley into the merchandise back wall.
Things spilled back out to the stairs and into the crowd once again, seemingly headed towards the ring. Strowman maintained control, delivering strikes to Lashley as they continued down the stairs.
Back on the floor, but still amongst the fans, Strowman cleared a path in the crowd to gain some momentum before hitting another huge running shoulder tackle on Lashley. It was enough for a count of eight, but Lashley still got to his feet.
Bobby Lashley retaliated by rushing Strowman, driving him through the barricade and back into the ringside area. Strowman narrowly missed hitting the steel steps with the back of his head. Lashley continued the assault by driving Strowman into the ring apron.
The referee continued his count, but only reached a count of three before Strowman rose to his feet. As he leaned on the announce table, Lashley went running around the ring to gain momentum before hitting a shoulder tackle that sent Strowman over the table and to the floor behind it.
Lashley flipped the table onto Strowman and looked poised for victory, but Strowman still forced his way out and back to his feet. Strowman retreated to the crowd again, but Lashley bounded over the barricade only for Strowman to catch him and use his momentum to throw Lashley into the international announce teams area.
The two men continued to fight on the outside with a serious of powerful attacks to try and finish off one another. However, neither man would budge. Both men kept getting to his feet and coming back for more.
They began fighting up the stairs once again and reached a small balcony area. Strowman glanced down, seeing a big open area and knowing his opening was there. Strowman lifted up Lashley for a Powerslam and the two plummeted several feet down through a wooden box.
As the referee began his count, both men couldn’t be seen at all. As the count continued, Strowman suddenly burst through the wall of the wooden box and revealed he was on his feet. Lashley was still down, and the referee finished the count to give Strowman the win.
Grade: A, This was a mess. A huge, violent, hardcore, extreme mess. It was exactly the car wreck we wanted from these two, and had lots of crazy moments throughout.
