While his hiatus away from the ring continues, WWE Superstar Lio Rush is focusing on his music career. He tells Daily DDT about his new single, “Scenic Lullaby.”

At just the age of 24-years old with just under five years of in-ring experience under his belt, Lio Rush is already one of the most immensely talented wrestling performers – both in the ring and on the mic – of his generation. After making a name for himself on the independent scene in promotions like Combat Zone Wrestling and Ring of Honor, he’s already made it to the greener pastures of the WWE.

Between his appearances in NXT, on 205 Live and on Monday Night Raw, Rush has done pretty well for himself since signing with WWE in 2017. The highlight of his WWE run so far has seen him work as a manager for “The All Mighty,” Bobby Lashley, a partnership that took the 24-Year Old Piece of Gold to the big stage of WrestleMania 35.

We have not seen Lio Rush appear onscreen or in the ring since the week of WrestleMania. Whether recent rumors regarding Rush are to be believed or not, the fact of the matter is that The Man of the Hour is currently on hiatus from wrestling. However, he has been keeping himself busy more recently by getting his hands dirty in the music world as a rapper. A few days ago, he dropped his debut single, “Scenic Lullaby,” which you can download here.

Lio Rush took the time to talk to me about his new song, his creative process and his ambitions as a musician.
