WWE: Top 5 best SummerSlam matches of all time

With WWE SummerSlam 2019 vastly approaching, we look back at the show’s 32-year history in hopes of pegging out the top five best matches in that history.

WWE SummerSlam 2019 will be airing live on the WWE Network this upcoming Sunday and the card is stacked. Mind you, we still have the go-home editions of Raw and SmackDown Live to look forward to, meaning that there could still be matches added to the card, but as it stands now, the card looks phenomenal. With matches like Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston, Natalya vs. Becky Lynch, and Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar on the docket, we could be seeing some classics in the making.

If that truly is the case, it is important to note that each of this Sunday’s matches have a lot of expectations on their shoulders, as far as classic matches are concerned.

SummerSlam has been produced as a Pay-Per-View consistently over the course of a 32-year time span. The show has almost produced as many memorable moments as WrestleMania itself. With that said, the matches themselves have been phenomenal. A solid argument can be made that SummerSlam has offered better matches than even that of WrestleMania, just because SummerSlam matches can be that good!

I took on the daunting task of looking through all of the countless matches that have taken place across the 32-year history of SummerSlam and determined what I believe are to be the top five very best matches to ever happen at The Biggest Party of the Summer. Those matches are as follows:
