Yesterday, we saw Kota Ibushi emerge atop the A-Block in the NJPW G1 Climax 29. Today, we found out who goes on to face him, as Tomohiro Ishii, Jon Moxley, Tetsuya Naito, and Jay White are all in line to win the block.

The whole show can be viewed on NJPW World.

Yuya Uemura & Yota Tsuji vs. Ren Narita & Shooter Umino

Shota and Tsuji started the match trying to out grapple each other. Tsuji chopped the crap out of Shota, possibly showing anger at how Moxley took on Umino as his own. This is mostly standard Young Lion fare with decent action. Shota is showing a lot more fire since Moxley took him under his wing.

The finish of this match was so great, with Ren Narita having an extended Boston crab on Uemura. Uemura almost made the ropes twice, but finally had to tap as Narita dragged him back. Shota and Tsuji continued to fight after the bell, and Shota stomped viciously on the head of Tsuji.

Result: Ren Narita & Shooter Umino

Rating: *** (3 stars)

Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale, Yujiro Takahashi, & Chase Owens) w/ Peiter vs. Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI, EVIL, & SANADA)

The Bullet Club got the heat on EVIL to start the match, but EVIL overcame all three and knocked all three to the mat. EVIL started to work over Owens, but Fale tripped him and pulled him to the outside of the ring and everyone started to brawl. Fale started to interview EVIL while choking him with the microphone cable.

There was a great spot after SANADA locked Yujiro in the Paradise Lock. Chase Owens tried to do it on SANADA, like he did many times last year, but was unable to. He thought he got it this time, but SANADA just stood up and put it on Chase. That was hilarious. LIJ worked over Yujiro with a triple team, but it was broken up by Fale and Chase. Yujiro hit a fisherman’s buster on BUSHI, but BUSHI kicked out. Yujiro hit a DDT and got the pinfall.

Result: Bullet Club
