There will be many captivating segments and matches on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown. As the WWE fans follow the The King of the Ring Tournament closely on the road to Clash of Champions, they must be perplexed about who Daniel Bryan revealed to be Roman Reigns’ attacker.

On tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live, there are two scheduled grudge matches in the King of the Ring Tournament: (1) Ali vs. Buddy Murphy and (2) Chad Gable vs. Shelton Benjamin.

Last week on SmackDown Live, Elias and Andrade qualified for the next round by defeating Kevin Owens and Apollo Crews respectively, so it’ll be intriguing to see who their opponents will be going forward.

Meanwhile, Daniel Bryan seemed to have exonerated Rowan last week on SmackDown Live when he revealed the individual who actually tried to murder Roman Reigns. The individual was not a current WWE superstar, but he looked a lot like Rowan.

This revelation elicited more questions than answers, and it seems that the mystery is not over just yet.

In terms of the women’s division, Charlotte Flair officially challenged Bayley to a SmackDown Women’s Championship match at Clash of Champions during Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross’ talk show, “A Moment of Bliss,” last week on SmackDown Live.

Because Bayley ruined the talk show by shoving Charlotte off her seat, the Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross want revenge. Considering that Bayley is scheduled to battle Nikki Cross on Raw, she will most conveniently battle Alexa Bliss on SmackDown to continue her momentum toward her championship match with Charlotte at Clash of Champions.

With that being said, let’s make five key predictions about what could happen on tonight’s WWE SmackDown.

5.) Bayley Defeats Alexa Bliss

If SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley defeats Nikki Cross on Raw, she should follow up with another victory against Alexa Bliss on SmackDown Live.

This momentum boost is necessary for Bayley on her journey to battling the almighty Charlotte Flair, who has gained sufficient momentum recently with key victories over the legendary Trish Stratus at SummerSlam and Ember Moon on the following SmackDown Live.

Both Bayley and Charlotte have to rack up as many victories as they can, so that they can look strong for their inevitable title match at Clash of Champions. Knowing that Charlotte would want revenge for Bayley’s MITB cash-in two months ago, Bayley needs to keep her head in the game and gain momentum with clean victories over the Women’s Tag Team Champions in order to stop Charlotte from converting that revenge into a title victory.
