WWE SmackDown Predictions: Reunions feel so good
By Mark Justice
There will be many engaging segments and matches on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown. As the WWE fans are on the edge of their seats for the crowning of the next King of the Ring, they should be excited about the epic reunion between the queens of the ring: Bayley and Sasha Banks.
On tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live, there are two scheduled grudge matches in the King of the Ring Tournament: Ali vs. Elias and Chad Gable vs. Andrade. Last week on SmackDown Live, Ali defeated Buddy Murphy and Chad Gable defeated Shelton Benjamin to advance to the next round of the WWE King of the Ring Tournament, and are now battling the already qualified Elias and Andrade respectively.
Last week on SmackDown Live, Randy Orton defeated one half of the SmackDown Tag Team Champions Big E, so he’s ought to battle the other half of the SmackDown Tag Team Champions Xavier Woods before he goes one on one with the WWE Champion Kofi Kingston at Clash of Champions. Xavier Woods has been absent in recent weeks due to storyline injury, so he could be in for a rude awakening against the Viper when he returns to SmackDown Live tonight.
In terms of the women’s division, Sasha Banks and SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley had officially reunited in the main event of Raw this week. They could continue their momentum with some tag team action against their official opponents and fellow HorseWomen at Clash of Champions, Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.
As for the Roman Reigns attempted murder mystery storyline, Reigns cracked the case last week and discovered that Rowan was the culprit behind the forklift incident with sufficient video evidence. This could very well lead to a match between these two superstars on SmackDown Live tonight.
With that being said, let’s make five key predictions about what could happen on tonight’s WWE SmackDown.
5.) Roman Reigns Defeats Rowan
Although Reigns discovered that Rowan was the culprit behind the forklift incident, he still proceeded to spear Daniel Bryan last week due to his association with Rowan. Bryan found this spear to be unjustifiable and feels that he deserves an apology from Reigns since he claimed that he had nothing to do with Rowan’s heinous attacks on Reigns.
A famous English proverb once stated that “a man is known by the company he keeps.” With Bryan being subjected to this unfortunate circumstance, the unjustifiable spear that was delivered by Reigns last week could indicate some truth behind the circulating rumors of Reigns eventually battling Bryan at Clash of Champions.
If that is the case, Reigns will most likely handle his business with Rowan first on SmackDown Live. Whether this match occurs tonight on SmackDown Live or next week on the go-home show, Reigns should be a safe bet to defeat Rowan and thereby gets his revenge for what Rowan has done.
