Several major questions remain unanswered, as WWE goes into what might now be one of it’s most intriguing shows of the year, Clash of Champions.

The build towards Clash of Champions has been a rocky one for WWE at times. We’ve seen some questionable storyline decisions throughout, especially when it comes to major angles like the ongoing Roman Reigns attacker story.

Nevertheless, Clash of Champions is still shaping up to be one of the most intriguing pay-per-views of the year. There’s just so many plot lines left to develop that the show feels like it could have huge ramifications for WWE moving forward.

Chief amongst those plot lines is that of one of the company’s hottest stars, Bray Wyatt, and his deranged alter ego “The Fiend”.

3. What’s next for Bray Wyatt?

We haven’t seen Bray Wyatt unleash his demented Firefly Funhouse persona in an actual match since he dismantled Finn Balor at SummerSlam.

Since then, Wyatt has largely gone back to his weekly creepy vignettes, which likely hint at his next target.

Depending on who you ask, that target could range from anyone from Seth Rollins to even The Undertaker. Either way, it certainly seems like a major angle to keep an eye on heading into Clash of Champions.

That simply because if the rumors surrounding Wyatt’s role at Hell in a Cell next month prove true, then we may just see “The Fiend” make his grand return to interrupt the main event.

I’ve already outlined the potential that such an angle would represent, but it bears repeating that this would be a master stroke of booking on WWE’s part. It would certainly be one of the most buzzed about segments of the year, and put Wyatt firmly into the main event scene where most would argue he belongs given his recent performances

On the other hand, if Wyatt were to just deliver a special edition of Firefly Funhouse at the show to unveil an obsession with avenging his WrestleMania 31 loss to The Undertaker, then WWE would also have succeeded in ensuring one of their most intriguing superstars received a worthy stage to continue his massive push.

No matter which of those direction WWE takes, Clash of Champions just seems like the right time to unveil the next step for Bray Wyatt.
