Five feuds to welcome John Morrison back to WWE

John Hennigan was known as John Morrison during his early WWE run, and new fans will quickly know his name if he’s introduced against any of these five individuals.

In an interesting bit of news on Thursday, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that the man known as Johnny Nitro is poised to make his return to WWE television.

John Hennigan, who has gone by a variety of iterations on his name, is a wrestler that may be more known for his time outside of the WWE than within it. The former Impact World Champion, Lucha Underground Champion and title holder across a number of other promotions, was once a central figure within the WWE.

Hennigan, then known as John Morrison, was a multiple-time tag team champion, former Intercontinental champion and a former ECW champion. It’s been more than eight years since he walked away from the WWE, and his return creates an opening for a variety of feuds and angles.

The WWE roster is at a point in which many believe it is stacked with the most talent the organization has every procured. Hennigan returns at a time where he can be paired against a variety of talented competitors and put on matches that the WWE Universe has never seen before.

These are five suggestions of feuds that would be a great way to welcome the former champion back into the fold and present him to the fan base at a time where wrestling is heading for an upswing.
