Five feuds to welcome John Morrison back to WWE
Ricochet
While it may have been under different names, Ricochet and Hennigan have a past with each other from Lucha Underground. It was there that they faced off against each other in a variety of matches, but were also a team for a moment.
Their paths across the independent circuit and other major promotions didn’t intersect for an extended period of time, but with them both under the WWE banner, there is now an opportunity to get these two creative high flyers into the ring together again.
Years ago, many would have considered Hennigan to be the best high-flyer on the WWE roster. While his move set may not seem as innovative when compared to what we see today; some of his highlights are still used within promotional packages.
At WrestleMania 24, Hennigan did a moonsault while holding a ladder in a clip that is featured basically whenever the company promotes the Money in the Bank ladder match.
While those moments were innovative back then, they are becoming run of the mill today thanks to the types of antics that Ricochet is pulling off in the ring. He’s called a “real-life superhero” and every time he steps between the ropes that idea shines through.
He and Hennigan in a contest to one-up each other would be like a game of horse unlike anything seen in the ring. Even though the more choreographed aspect of professional wrestling has turned some people off to the art; there’s a way to do it that inspires awe from those watching. That is the type of match that Hennigan and Ricochet could get out of each other, and would be a fantastic way to welcome him back into the promotion.
