WWE NXT Predictions: The Undisputed Era’s prophecy remains intact
By Mark Justice
WWE NXT makes their two-hour premiere tonight on USA, and there’s sure to be some big moments as they prepare to ignite the Wednesday Night Wars against AEW.
WWE NXT’s two-hour premiere will take place on October 2 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT live on the USA Network. There will be plenty of hard-hitting championship matches on this episode of WWE NXT. It should be substantial competition for AEW Dynamite, which will air its very first episode live on TNT simultaneously.
On tonight’s episode of NXT, there are three scheduled title matches: (1) Adam Cole (c) vs. Matt Riddle for the NXT Championship, (2) Shayna Bayzler (c) vs. Candice LeRae for the NXT Women’s Championship, and (3) Undisputed Era (c) vs. Street Profits for the NXT Tag Team Championships. It will be interesting to see if there is at least one title change from these three bouts.
With all three other NXT championships on the line, don’t expect the NXT North American Championship to be left out. Velveteen Dream, a former NXT North American Champion, is scheduled to return to this episode of NXT and could very well request a rematch for the NXT North American Championship against current NXT North American Champion Roderick Strong.
Additionally, Johnny Gargano is scheduled to battle Shawn Thorne in a regular grudge match, which could steal the show on an episode full of championship matches. Although championship gold is not on the line for this bout, pride certainly is and it will be put to the test between these two juggernauts.
With that being said, let’s make five key predictions about what could happen on tonight’s WWE NXT.
