WWE NXT Predictions: The Undisputed Era’s prophecy remains intact

3. Roderick Strong Defeats Velveteen Dream To Retain The NXT North American Championship
Two weeks ago on WWE NXT, Roderick Strong nefariously defeated Velveteen Dream to become the new NXT North American Champion and fulfill the Undisputed Era prophecy. He was the missing piece to the puzzle, and that victory was undisputed.
With Velveteen Dream being officially announced to return to NXT on this episode, he must have only thought in mind: regain the NXT North American Championship. However, it’s hard to believe that Strong would lose the championship so quickly after winning it.
Dream has been in WWE NXT for a very long time and has showcased that he is one of the very best NXT has to offer. Unlike Johnny Gargano, Dream actually looks forward to debuting on the main roster, as was indicated by his tights reading ‘Call me up, Vince’ a year ago.
Albeit that stunt elicited controversy backstage, the message was very clear. Dream has spoken about having matches with the likes of John Cena on the main roster, and Cena reportedly couldn’t agree more that Velveteen Dream would be his dream NXT opponent.
With that being said, Roderick Strong should be the safe bet to retain the NXT North American Championship, if Dream were to request his rematch. If not, the match could be announced for the next NXT Takeover. Nonetheless, it’d be a win-win situation if Dream does indeed get drafted to either Raw or SmackDown in the upcoming weeks, and that is undisputed.
