WWE Friday Night SmackDown will take place on October 4 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT live on Fox. There will be plenty of star-studded segments and sports-oriented performances on this brand new flagship era of WWE SmackDown.

On tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, there are four scheduled matches: (1) Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship, (2) Becky Lynch and Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks and Bayley, (3) Roman Reigns vs. Erick Rowan, and (4) Kevin Owens vs. Shane McMahon in a Ladder Match with both careers on the line. It will be interesting to see if a WWE title change occurs tonight and if Bayley will defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair at WWE Hell in a Cell this Sunday.

Based on the facetious exchange last week, another match that could be added to this episode of SmackDown is Chad Gable vs. Elias. Due to unfinished business, Chad Gable could really use this match as a momentum boost to possibly battling King Corbin at HIAC.

On top of that, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, Trish Stratus and many more legends are officially returning to this episode to spark SmackDown’s new era on Fox television. Big names like Ronda Rousey have also been rumored to appear for this event. It will be thrilling to witness what they have in store for the show.

The 24/7 Championship wasn’t active on the Raw Premiere this week, but expect it to be active on SmackDown because Carmella could lose the title to Drake Maverick’s wife, Renee Michelle, and/or any of the returning WWE legends on this episode of SmackDown Live.

With that being said, let’s make five key predictions about what could happen on tonight’s WWE SmackDown.
