5. Roman Reigns Defeats Erick Rowan
It had been confirmed that Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan will team up to battle Erick Rowan and Luke Harper at Hell in a Cell on October 6. This match will give them the opportunity to avenge all of the murderous, heinous attacks perpetrated against Reigns in the past few months as well as all of the false accusations against the innocent bystander, Daniel Bryan.
The scheduled match between Roman Reigns and Erick Rowan on this episode of SmackDown Live is merely a Clash of Champions rematch, in which 50:50 booking can be implemented in Reigns’ favor. Thanks to the help of Luke Harper, Erick Rowan defeated both Reigns at Clash of Champions and Daniel Bryan last week on SmackDown Live.
Now that Reigns and Daniel Bryan have joined forces as babyfaces, expect Bryan to hinder Harper from screwing Reigns in this match. With Bryan’s help, Reigns should be able to secure a win over Rowan and gain some key momentum with Bryan on the road to Hell in a Cell, especially since Roman Reigns is a more marketable name to win on Fox’s premiere of SmackDown.
As for Harper, it’s quite unusual that he has not been involved in any matches since returning. It’ll be interesting to see how he does in his first match back at Hell in a Cell this Sunday.
