You all knew it was going to happen at some point. At WWE Hell in a Cell 2019, Charlotte Flair became a 10-time women’s champion by getting some sweet revenge on Bayley for cheating in the SmackDown Women’s Title match at Clash of Champions.
Charlotte Flair is the most decorated women in WWE when looking at straight-up championships, and she added a 10th title victory to her resume at Hell in a Cell 2019 when she defeated Bayley in a SmackDown Women’s Championship match.
This title bout was announced on Friday during the first episode of SmackDown Live on FOX. There wasn’t any build to this title match, which frustrated fans; this title is more prestigious than that. But it was no surprise that Charlotte vs. Bayley ended up being the match due to the lack of build, since the story between them is well-known.
Bayley won her first title on the main roster off of Charlotte on a Raw in Las Vegas, while they recently had an encounter at Clash of Champions in which “The Hugger” cheated by using the turnbuckles before making a speedy getaway.
However, Bayley didn’t escape Charlotte’s vengeful grasp at Hell in a Cell, winning her 10th championship. That means both members of the Boss’N’Hug Connection lost title matches in the same night.
Along with Tamina winning the 24/7 title and Kairi Sane and Asuka capturing the Women’s Tag Titles, this was the third women’s title change of the night.
And Twitter had a LOT of opinions on both sides. Top stars like Charlotte Flair tend to polarize opinion like that; it’s what helps make them so popular.
CHARLOTTE IS THE REAL SHE WIN 10 CHAMPIONSHIP. SHE WIN TITLES MORE THAN @THEREALVIRGIL WIN MATCHES #HIAC

The Iron Sheik’s opinion is always the first one we go to when it’s available.
If you look at the ten reigns Charlotte has had (not blaming her, she’s fantastic). How many did she actually need? Ten reigns in a four year period is not normal. #HIAC

This is the same argument people who hate the Golden State Warriors make. #TheNBAIsRigged

Padya is one of my favorite wrestling fans in this world, and I’m glad Charlotte got the win so her nerves were at ease. It’s amazing the connection we develop with performers as fans. And you know, Charlotte tends to have killer PPV matches…so the nerves are especially understandable.
Plenty of people bandwagoned to Manchester City when they started winning titles. This is exactly the same logic by which I became a Charlotte stan. Just embrace it. Allow yourself to love the Figure Eight.
Charlotte wins the women’s title for a 10th time. But how will she rank on the PWI Women’s 100? Stay tuned! https://t.co/uaHUarUECl #HIAC #ac

So what? You’ll just rank Ronda Rousey first anyway.
Can NAOMI Take The Championship Off Of Charlotte? #HIAC

Charlotte Flair has 10 titles in four years. Yeah, a lot of it is booking, but she’s also really good at what she does. As much as I wanted to see Bayley’s awesome, MVP-caliber reign continue, I’m not going to talk trash about Charlotte.
Instead, I’ll fondly remember Bayley’s reign, which began at Money in the Bank when she cashed in on “The Queen”. What a moment that was!
