Seth Rollins vs. Erick Rowan – Falls Count Anywhere

In another non-title match pitting one of Raw’s top champions against game competition, Universal Champion Seth Rollins faces Erick Rowan in a Falls Count Anywhere match. The stipulation is there because the match is meant to offer us a preview for Crown Jewel, where Rollins defends in a Falls Count Anywhere Match against The Fiend (in a match that WWE continues to remind us “CAN’T BE STOPPED FOR ANY REASON” ).

Rowan comes off the heels of being drafted from SmackDown, where he racked up impressive wins over former WWE Champions Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns in singles competition weeks before the WWE Draft. This will be his first Raw match since the move. Expect him to put up a big fight with an impressive performance, but all things considered, Rollins will and should win. Not smart to have your top champion lose a meaningless match mere days before his title defense, especially if he’s expected to retain (which is likely, considering his opponent is a SmackDown star).

Also, don’t be surprised if The Fiend makes a surprise appearance either at the very end or during the match. Haven’t seen him on Raw since Rollins burned The Firefly Fun House to the ground. Without explanation, the house returned on last Friday’s SmackDown, so The Fiend can’t be too far behind.
