Toni Storm

For the last two years, Toni Storm has been one of the pillars of NXT UK. The run she had as NXT UK Women’s Championship further enhanced the credibility of the championship.

In June of 2018, Storm had a fantastic match against Shayna Baylzer. Storm was great selling a leg injury against Baylzer. The result of the match can be woven into the fabric of Storm’s emergence as the fifth wrestler on Team Ripley.

Storm has done everything in NXT UK. Since losing the NXT UK Women’s Championship to Kay Lee Ray, there has not been much for Storm to do in NXT UK.  Adding her to Team Ripley for WarGames may not mean that Storm is a full time NXT competitor in the United States, but brining in the best women’s wrestler from NXT UK to defeat Team Baylzer, adds to the credibility of Team Ripley.

Rhea Ripley can mention how she was the dominate force in NXT UK until she was defeated by Toni Storm for the championship.

The fact that Ripley lost to a great wrestler in Storm, adds to the storyline of bringing in Storm. Ripley can show she is able to put her ego aside in order to emerge victorious at NXT WarGames.
