5 WWE vs NXT dream matches for the road to Survivor Series

Looking at the rosters from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT, here are some dream matches that WWE could deliver us on the road to Survivor Series.

It was announced mere days ago that NXT – for the first time ever – will have its presence known during Survivor Series, where annually, Raw and SmackDown have crossed paths in the name of brand supremacy. Now, the red and blue brands will be tasked with teaming up to fend off WWE’s third brand, the black and gold brand: NXT.

The announcement was further highlighted in storyline during the latest episode of SmackDown where NXT invaded and completely ran through the SmackDown roster. It’s almost bittersweet that these story mechanisms had to be established due to a real life unfortunate circumstance where most of the roster actually had their flight from Saudi Arabia delayed, but at least what we saw in storyline was entertaining for the viewers at home and those in the crowd.

We saw Shayna Baszler, Bianca Belair, Tegan Nox and Rhea Ripley all overtake the SmackDown women’s division; Keith Lee and Matt Riddle bulldozed through Sami Zayn; Tommaso Ciampa picked up a big win over The Miz, and NXT Champion Adam Cole picked up an even bigger win over Daniel Bryan, who around this time last year was the WWE Champion.

By the end of the night, local NXT dad Triple H declared war on both Raw and SmackDown heading into the next Pay-Per-View. In theory, this should mean we are going to see even more dream matches between the brands come true in the coming weeks. Not only at Survivor Series, but on the shows leading up to the PPV.
