Adam Cole vs. Seth Rollins

Long before his nickname was The Kingslayer, Seth Rollins adopted Ric Flair’s nickname as The Man and as the saying goes, “To be The Man *WOOOOOOOOOOOOO* you’ve got to beat The Man.” And right now, Seth Rollins is The Man on Monday nights.

Prior to losing the Universal Championship, Rollins was something of a gatekeeper for new Superstars, as evident by his match with the debuting Humberto Carrillo a few weeks back. Expect him to do the same for a few NXT Superstars in the coming weeks, but I cannot think of a bigger, better, PPV worthy match for him than against Adam Cole. The first NXT Champion vs. the current NXT Champion.

It is a match that both men gushed about wanting to happen on a recent episode of WWE’s The Bump, so it is clearly a match both men really want to see. And judging by the response to the suggestion under their YouTube video, it’s a match that the WWE Universe wants to see as well. I say give the people (and the competitors) what they want and we could get a match of the year candidate, much like what we got with Cole’s match against Bryan last Friday.
