Isaiah “Swerve” Scott versus Donovan Dijakovic

Man, there was just no time to take your eyes off the screen during this episode.

I think that was part a testament to WWE realizing the opportunity they had with this episode, and not wanting to drop the ball.

Even before the main event, it’s save to say they succeeded.

“Swerve” started out strong in this one, but soon found himself being manhandled by Dijakovic.

After being chucked around the ring a bit, Scott soon got some offense of his own though, planting Dijakovic with a DDT on the heels of a sharp superkick.

Scott later looked like he almost made a critical miscalculation after nearly being caught with a “Feast Your Eyes,” but he was saved by a unique reversal.

Scott looked on the verge of victory several times after that, but despite his insane resiliency, ultimately got put away courtesy of Dijakovic’s aforementioned finisher.

Result: Donovan Dijakovic wins via pinfall

This was another awesome match, and I can’t help but give it high marks. “Swerve” is definitely someone to watch going forward, and this match just continued to solidify that.

Grade B+

A quick packaged aired after the commercial for “The Forgotten Sons.” I didn’t want to forget that in the midst of all the excitement.

The O.C. versus Tommaso Ciampa, Matt Riddle, and Keith Lee

A whirlwind show finally reached its conclusion with this six-man tag match.

The match started off with a flurry as these six wasted no time throwing hands with one another. On a side note, Riddle kicked his flip flops off right before jumping into the fray, and it looked pretty cool not gonna lie.

Ciampa and Styles went toe-to-toe first, and it looked like the match might be over before it even really began when the former NXT Champion hit his rope hung DDT on Styles.

The U.S. Champion wouldn’t go down that easily though, and the match continued with Gallows versus Lee in a bruising exchange of shoulder blocks.

Lee would get the better of that exchange, and put the WWE “main roster” team on the ropes.

During the still somehow awkward commercial break frame-in, The O.C. rallied, and began beating down the NXT stars.

The O.C. proceeded to work over Ciampa, before Matt Riddle got the red hot tag.

Riddle ping-ponged around the ring taking out The O.C. in a flurry of kicks, sentons, and knees.

After that, it was Keith Lee’s turn to get his chance in the spotlight by showing off his strength on a big slam to Gallows.

Somehow the whole wild scene ended with Ciampa and Styles in the ring about to deliver “The Fairytale Ending” to Styles.

He was interrupted though by a surprise appearance from Finn Balor!

Balor took out the NXT stars, and gave a knowing throwback to the Bullet Club to Styles.

Just as it looked like Styles was about to deliver a “Styles Clash” to Ciampa, Adam Cole ran in and superkicked the leader of The O.C.

After that, the show ended with Cole staring down Balor, as the six-man tag ended without a clear winner.

Result: Lots of chaos

Overall, this was a head-spinning conclusion to a similarly mind-boggling show. The ending perfectly set up for a week of speculation as to whether or not Balor is primed to join The O.C.

Grade: A-

If there was any doubt as to whether or not WWE was prepared to capitalize on all the hype they’ve built for NXT these past few days, this show should have answered that question resoundingly.
