Seth Rollins

Unless if WWE actually wants fans to turn on Seth Rollins for winning too much – or whatever it is we get mad about these days – he’s not winning back-to-back Royal Rumbles. But if Rollins turns heel before WrestleMania 36, he’d be the perfect foil for the babyfaces finishing in the last four.

Admit it. You want to boo Rollins again. You miss the arrogant sneer, the grating laugh, and the cowardly antics. This “I’m Burning It Down! Adore me!” schtick ran its course last year when his feud with Dean Ambrose inexplicably flopped. (Actually, the explanation is that Vince McMahon is more clueless than all you unpaid WWE PR folks want to admit.)

We’re all Batista. Give us what we want. Turn Rollins heel and have him go on a rampage in the Royal Rumble. Make it look like he’s going to win the Rumble for a second year in a row, and just as we’re all about to get “Wrestling Mad” at Rollins, have a babyface pull out the victory in the end.

And if Rollins is a babyface for the WWE Royal Rumble 2020 men’s match, then just let him do his usual thing. Fire the crowd up, do some awesome moves, sell like hell for everyone else, and then just fall short in the end this time.

I know I’ve kind of ragged on his babyface promos, but, yeah, he’s got the WWE main roster babyface work down pat. It works, and he’ll be great at the Rumble whatever role he’s in.
