WWE Raw was in Manchester, England this week as the NXT invasion continued with the presence of NXT UK.

WWE Raw opened up with “The Man” Becky Lynch to a raucous reaction. “The Man is in Manchester,” as Lynch put it, and the crowd was fully behind her.

She called herself “the face of this whole damn business,” and talked about all of the hungry challengers nipping at her. Lynch finished by saying she would be “Becky Two Belts” again tonight, leading into the first match of the night.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: The Kabuki Warriors (c) vs. Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair

Things got off to a brisk back and forth with Asuka building some early momentum before Becky seized control. The cockiness and confidence was on display from all four women in this match, and that continued throughout most of the match.

Asuka and Becky back in. Back and forth, Asuka building momentum then Becky taking control, confidence all around; Kairi tagged in; Kairi getting some strikes in, Becky with some arm drags and then an armbar, wearing her down; throws Kairi into corner; Kairi dodges and stomps her down; Kairi tries running elbow in the corner but misses; Becky regains control and tags in Charlotte; Kairi chopping Charlotte and making no impact.

Charlotte chops Kairi once and knocks her to the ground; Flair lifts her but Kairi locks in sleeper on Charlotte; Charlotte slams her into corner to get her off, big shoulder tackle, knee head triangle slamming her into the mat and flipping her over; Charlotte actually allows Kairi to make the tag to Asuka, but Asuka comes in with a flurry of strikes and headlock, taking immediate control; wearing her down, Charlotte fighting out but Asuka keeps it in.

Charlotte finally gets out, big shoulder block to asuka; dodges by both; big elbow by Charlotte; and here’s Shayna Baszler in the crowd; she walks by commentary and stands there with the title as commercial break comes in; back from comm with Charlotte and Asuka back and forth.

Baszler lurking on the outside; Charlotte boot to Kairi on the apron to take her out; Asuka big kick to Flair; Asuka knocks flair to the outside, Kairi attacking her on the outside, wearing her down; combination kicks and strikes by from Warriors to wear down Flair more; cocky pin by Kairi but Flair kicks out easily.

Double suplex on flair but kickout at 1; abdominal stretch by asuka , but flair powers out, gets asuka on her shoulders but asuka counters with crucifix driver pin; flair fighting back, strikes to each, but asuka goes for Asuka Lock, got it locked in, Charlotte counters into a pin, Asuka transfers to an armbar; Flair powers and lifts Asuka up to powerbomb her; Sane breaks it up, kicks Char, drags Asuka to the corner, tags herself in, and goes after Flair

Becky still looking for a dire tag; flair drops Kairiinto the turnbuckle, hot tag coming; Becky and Asuka both tagged in; Becky rolling, clotheslines, strikes, big running shoulder tackle; stomping on Asuka in corner, Kairi runs in, bexploder on Kairi; strikes on Asuka; double dropkick off the top by Lynch to both of them; baszler hops up on the apron to distract Becky.

Bayley attacks Shayna, but gets knocked down hard; Becky is distracted and Asuka rolls her up for the win; Bayley suddenly ambushes Becky at ringside; Shayna is leaving; Bayley makes a statement.

Grade: A+, This was fantastic from start to finish. Not only a great match building to a super hot tag by Becky, but the influence and actions of Baszler and Bayley at ringside capped things off. Fantastic way to start Raw.

Ricochet backstage; talking to Orton. O.C. walks in trying to kick out Humbero. O.C. challenges them to 3 on 2 match but says no one will make the match; saying if they can find a partner they’ll face them; finally randy walks back into frame, says they won’t have to look very far; Orton prompts the challenge, so I guess that’s happening.
