Bayley vs. Nikki Cross – If Nikki wins, she joins Team SmackDown at Survivor Series

Nikki Cross has crossed (no pun intended, I swear) paths with Bayley for several weeks now. She was defeated by Bayley in a title match a couple weeks back, and last week, Bayley was in Sasha Banks’ corner when The Boss tapped Cross out. Now, once more, Cross is in the cross hairs (okay, that one was intentional, I apologize) of the SmackDown Women’s Champion, but this time, a spot at Survivor Series is on the line for the former Tag Team Champion.

Heading into the traditional elimination tag match at Survivor Series, Sasha Banks has been named the Team Captain of Team SmackDown while Dana Brooke, Carmella and Lacey Evans all fill out her team. With one spot on the team left, Nikki Cross put her hat in the race on Twitter, but Banks made it clear that she wants the Twisted Sister nowhere near her team. So Cross proposed that if she can beat Bayley tonight, Banks had to let her on the team. Banks accepted on her friend’s behalf.

Given that Bayley attacked Shayna Baszler last Wednesday on NXT, I can’t help but feel like the NXT Women’s Champion will try to return the favor tonight. An impromptu appearance during the match on her way to the ring could distract Bayley long enough to give Cross a victory roll-up. What follows could either be another Baszler vs. Bayley brawl, or Bayley hightailing it out of there to avoid a beating.

Prediction: Cross wins thanks to a Baszler distraction
