In one of the latest WWE rumors to hit the internet in recent memory, NXT Superstar Oney Lorcan appears to have allegedly asked for his release from the company.

We have seen a bevy of WWE rumors and reports in recent memory regarding Superstars who have asked for their release from the company. AEW’s Shawn Spears (formerly known as Tye Dillinger) was seemingly the latest competitor to have their release granted from WWE back in February, along with NJPW’s KENTA (fka Hideo Itami) on the same day. TJ Perkins was released on the same day, though it’s been rumored he was more so fired than willingly exiting. Since then, we have seen several different wrestlers under their brand ask and be denied for such a request.

The ever growing list of requests have come from the likes of Mike Kanellis and, most recently, Sin Cara. Now, it seems we can possibly add Oney Lorcan to that list of names wanting out of their WWE contracts.

In a report coming from PWInsider, Oney Lorcan has asked for his release from WWE. No word yet on whether or not the NXT and 205 Live Superstar has had his release granted, but on Twitter, he has reverted to using the name Biff Busick, which was the name he used on the independent scene prior to getting signed by WWE.

The Boston native first signed a WWE contract in the year 2015. He was last used on Pay-Per-View when he lost a Cruiserweight Championship match to Drew Gulak on the SummerSlam 2019 Kickoff Show. The last time that Lorcan was seen on WWE TV was when he lost a match to NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush on the Oct. 25 episode of Lio Rush. More recently, Lorcan has been used on NXT and, occasionally, on 205 Live in tag matches alongside partner Danny Burch.
