Akira Tozawa vs. Lio Rush (c) – NXT Cruiserweight Championship

Grappling to start before Tozawa takes him down with a takedown. Rush returns the favor with a shoulder block. Hits the ropes but gets caught with a hurricanrana. Rush evades a senton, then Tozawa evades a splash. We are in a stalemate. Both men shake hands before evading each other’s kicks to the stomach. After agreeing to put each other’s feet down, hey go right back into action.

Tozawa sets Rush on the top rope, where he punches the champion in the mouth. Rush to the outside. Tozawa attempts a baseball slide, but Rush evades it. Teases a German Suplex off the apron, but Tozawa holds onto the ropes. Instead, Rush transitions into a sunset flip powerbomb attempt, but Tozawa holds on. Instead, he sentons Rush on the apron to send us into a commercial.

Back from the break, the match goes back and forth. Plenty of strikes from Rush. Deadlift German Suplex from Rush for a near fall. Eventually, Rush hits a Frog Splash off Tozawa’s back, then another Frog Splash to Tozawa’s abdomen.

Finn Balor is interviewed by Cathy Kelley about his match with Tommaso Ciampa. He says that he is a dangerous man and that Ciampa will find that out later tonight. He says that tonight, the Psycho Killer will truly “meet The Prince.”
