Tonight’s show will see The New Day give an open challenge for the WWE SmackDown Tag Titles, while Universal Champion Bray Wyatt introduces a new Firefly Funhouse “face.”

We open a special post-Thanksgiving episode with Roman Reigns walking down the ramp to an explosive reaction from the WWE Universe. He grabs the mic to wish the crowd a belated Happy Thanksgiving and he’s thankful that himself and Team SmackDown got the job done last Sunday at Survivor Series (but not before giving props to NXT for putting up a good fight).

He thanks Ali, Braun Strowman and Shorty G for their efforts, but singles Baron Corbin as “the one dummy” on the team he won’t thank. Instead, the dummy should thank him and invites said dummy to the ring to apologize. Moments later, King Corbin makes his way down the ramp.

Corbin says Reigns lost his mind, because it was his own “fearless leadership” that steered SmackDown to victory. He said Roman’s ego is what led to Corbin getting eliminated after eliminating two people himself. He claims he would’ve gotten the job done, but Reigns says he couldn’t have gotten the job done because he got pinned.

Reigns says Corbin has a chance to redeem himself tonight in Alabama. Corbin calls out Reigns for wanting the fans to think he’s a role model. Corbin brags about eating fine cuisine and says Reigns likely ate a burnt, store bought turkey his wife burnt. Corbin is thankful he doesn’t have to share a meal in a place like Alabama where “the food is worse than the football!”

Corbin, instead, suggests that Reigns fight his crony, Robert Roode, instead so that The Glorious One can have him wheeled out on a stretcher.

Grade: A

This was a friendly reminder that when he isn’t given dumb lines to say in a promo, Corbin is a great talker. He was on fire in this promo – best I’ve seen from him in a long time, maybe ever – and the crowd was booing him like crazy.
