WWE SmackDown: Results, Highlights and Grades for November 29th, 2019
Time for a new Firefly Funhouse!
Bray Wyatt tells everyone to gather around their family and friends as he gathers around his Universal Championship. But because sharing is caring, he thinks that “he” should have a new friend. Seems like the “new face” that was teased for the show was a new belt for The Fiend. We only get brief flashes of The Fiend’s new belt, but I’ll be honest, it looks ugly.
Wyatt says he had a blast playing with Daniel Bryan at Survivor Series and wants to do it again. And if the WWE Universe want to see Bryan vs. Fiend II, then they can tell Bryan that all he has to do is “LET ME IN!”
After a surprisingly shorter than usual episode of Firefly Funhouse, we get a very interesting video package hyping up the return of Sheamus!
Then, our next match …
Mustafa Ali vs. Drew Gulak
Plenty of wrestling transitions until Ali finally drops Gulak with a dropkick, but Gulak pulls Ali by his hair down to the mat. Ali fights back with a kick to the chest. He teases a satellite DDT, but Gulak grabs him for a powerbomb off the top. Two count.
Gulak follows up with a Single Leg Boston Crab. Ali fights out to hit a Superkick for a two count. Gulak tries to get back into this, but Ali hits a satellite DDT followed by a 450 Splash for the quick win.
Winner: Mustafa Ali
Grade: C-
Not bad, but I feel like if given more time and more heat, these two could work magic on any night. Tonight, in a three minute contest, was not that night. At least Ali got himself a win, I suppose.
Quickly backstage, we see Daniel Bryan pacing back and forth, contemplating if it’s worth putting himself through hell with The Fiend for a chance to hold a World Title again, after what they went through last Sunday.
