It is very easy to surmise that Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler were a randomly formed tag team that had no future plans for the tag team division. However, Christmas season is upon us and their pseudonym of ‘RooDolph’ could come in handy.

In fact, WWE TLC 2019 seems to have a Christmas theme so the idea of Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler wearing red noses for their potential match at this PPV would not be a bad idea. If they are involved in any match for this PPV, it should be for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships against The New Day.

Unlike The Revival and Heavy Machinery, RooDolph actually won the kickoff tag team battle royal at Survivor Series in order to contribute a victory for SmackDown in the brand war. This should give them the necessary momentum boost for a future tag team championship opportunity.

Many naysayers may despise this short-lived tag team since they may not consider them as legitimate, but their work as a tag team has been quite impressive. Maybe the twinkle in Roode’s eyes that Ziggler saw months ago was a foreshadowing of the north star that twinkles in the sky during Christmas season.

If this is the case, expect this bizarre yet fitting gimmick to bring RooDolph’s original formation into light. Besides, a match between them and The New Day would be a fantastic first time tag team match up for the WWE Universe and could very well set the scene for a very Christmas-like WWE TLC 2019.
