WWE Starrcade 2019: Results, Highlights, and Grades

Kabuki Warriors (c) vs. Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair vs. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley and Sasha Banks [Women’s Tag Team Championships]
Nikki Cross and Kairi Sane will start this match. Kairi Sane slaps her butt to taunt Nikki Cross, and Cross does the same. Bayley tags Kairi Sane out of the match, and Charlotte tags Cross out of the match. Asuka then tags Bayley out of the match. Asuka and Charlotte grapple and Charlotte gets the upper hand with chin lock and a shoulder block.
Charlotte irish whips Asuka but Asuka counters with a kick to Charlotte’s gut. Charlotte goes for the Big Boot on Kairi Sane off the apron and delivers some knife edge chops and a Fallaway Slam to Asuka. She then kips up and attempts the Figure 8, but Asuka counters and pushes Charlotte into a tag by Sasha Banks.
Banks gloats too much and gets a flurry of kicks by Asuka. Asuka then attempts the Hip attack but gets tagged out by Cross. Cross hits a couple of arm drags to Banks and tags in Bliss. Bliss hits a hard right hand to Banks and tags Cross back in. Cross attempts the Bull Dog but Banks counters it and tags in Bayley.
Bayley takes control of Cross, but Cross gets tagged out by Becky Lynch. Champ vs. Champ! Lynch delivers some arm drags to Bayley and locks her in an arm lock. Bayley counters the arm lock and gets tagged out by Banks. Banks takes control of Lynch and delivers a meteora at the corner turnbuckle for a two-count, thanks to Charlotte Flair breaking up the pin.
She then tags Bayley back in, who delivers two knee strikes to Lynch. Lynch needs a hot tag and she tags in Alexa Bliss. Bliss rallies with two clotheslines and a dropkick. Banks distracts her and Bayley rolls up Bliss for the two-count. Bayley gets pushed over into Kairi Sane’s corner. Sane tags Bayley out of the match and stomps on Bliss.
She then locks Bliss’ leg for a Boston Crab, but Bliss gets to the bottom rope and Banks tags Sane out of the match to deliver a suplex to her arch nemesis for the two-count. She tags Bayley back in for a tag team move and a two-count. Bayley focuses on Bliss’ shoulder and then attempts a suplex but gets rolled up by Bliss for a two-count.
Asuka then tags Bayley out of the match and performs a double kick with Sane onto Bliss. She then slaps her butt in front of Charlotte to taunt her. She then charges at Bliss head first but Bliss moves out of the way and Asuka runs into the steel post.
Bliss attempts to tag in Charlotte, but Asuka holds onto Bliss’ leg and Sane trips Charlotte off the apron. Bliss delivers a hard right hand to Asuka and hot tags Lynch.
Becky Lynch rallies with clotheslines and dropkicks. She gets Asuka and Sane at the corner with a double Spingboard Side Kick. She then delivers straight fire Becksploders to Sane, Sasha Banks, and Bayley. She then delivers a DDT Russian Leg Sweep Combo to the Kabuki Warriors. She goes to the top rope and delivers a leg drop for the two-count, thanks to Asuka breaking it up.
Cross then tags Lynch out of the match and delivers a flying crossbody to Kabuki Warriors for the two-count. Sasha Banks delivers a Back Breaker to Cross. Bliss delivers a right hand to Banks. Bayley delivers a Back Suplex to Alexa Bliss. Asuka delivers a German Suplex to Bayley. Sane delivers an Insane Elbow to Lynch. Charlotte delivers a double spear to the Kabuki Warriors. Cross jumps on Charlotte’s back and tosses her into the steel post.
Cross then rolls up Asuka, but Asuka kicks out and grabs Cross for the Asuka Lock and Cross taps. The Kabuki Warriors retain the Women’s Tag Team Championships.
Result: Kabuki Warriors
Grade: 3.5/5.0 Stars
Analysis: Fast paced women’s tag team championship match. It was definitely fun to watch everyone get their spots in. It should have been the main event, so that was a missed opportunity. Bobby Lashley and Lana are then seen walking to the ring from the backstage area as the Last Man Standing match is NEXT!
