WWE Raw: Results, Highlights, and Grades: December 2, 2019

Kevin Owens vs. Bobby Lashley [Grudge Match]

Lana comes out to flaunt her body in front of the WWE Universe. Lana says that Raw is all about her. While Kevin Owens remains aggravated and continuously interrupts Lana’s mic time, Lana announces that Rusev will not be here tonight. If Rusev shows up, he will go to jail for a very long time. Owens says that he does not understand how Lana can talk so much but say so little. He further orates that Lana’s outside may be pleasant but her inside is repulsive. Lana retorts by calling Owens a pizza eater every-day man and her hot boyfriend, Bobby Lashley, will finish him.

Kevin Owens and Bobby Lashley start the match with some ground based offense. Owens rebounds off the ropes and runs into a Spinebuster by Lashley. Owens slips Lashley off the apron and goes on the top rope to deliver a Frog Splash onto Lashley outside the ring. The show then goes to commercial.

Back from commercial, Owens chops his crotch and delivers a picture perfect Cannonball to Lashley for the two-count. He then attempts a Moonsault off the top rope but Lashley moves out of the way and delivers a clothesline to Owens. Lashley delivers a flurry of punches to Owens and flaunts his body, like Lana did earlier.

He spears Owens into the corner. He attempts it for a second time but runs into a Superkick by Owens. Owens then gathers himself and rallies. He attempts the Stunner, but Lashley counters with a Swinging Neckbreaker for the two-count.

Lashley lifts up Owens and delivers the Dominator for the two-count. He locks Owens in the Full Nelson, but Owens blocks it. Lashley charges at Owens and runs into a Pop Up Powerbomb by Owens. Owens is unable to capitalize on the pinfall and Authors of Pain make their way to the ring to force a disqualification finish. After delivering many punches to Owens, Akam and Rezar then drag Owens up the stage and into the backstage area.

Results: Kevin Owens (by DQ)

Grade: 2.0/5.0 Stars

Analysis: The promo between Lana and Owens before the match was good. This match was average but was ruined due to the inconclusive finish. The most interesting part of this angle was Authors of Pain dragging Owens to the backstage area. Where could they possibly be taking him?

Lashley and Lana then get interviewed by Charly Caruso to get their insight on AOP’s attack. Lashley responds that he does not know but only cares that Lana is ok. Despite all the body guards at ringside, Rusev then interrupts the in-ring interview from the crowd area to deliver a Machka Kick to Lashley and escape the ring and back to the crowd.

Lashley gets mad at the bodyguard officers for not doing their job and shoves him as he walks away. The bodyguard officer responds that they do things differently in Nashville, Tennesse and they arrest Lashley. Lana gets upset and slaps the bodyguard officer in the face for arresting Lashley and she gets arrested too. Lana screams that she will sue them for this. R-Truth and Street Profits got a nice view of that arrest backstage. Well, that escalated quickly.
