Viking Raiders vs. Local Talent [Tag Match]
The Viking Raiders deliver powerslams and dropkicks to the jobbers. One of the jobbers actually ran away and left his jobber friend high and dry. The Raiders scream ‘Are you watching?’ many times. They finally deliver the Viking Experience for the easy victory.
Results: Raw Tag Team Champions Viking Raiders
Grade: 1.5/5.0 Stars
Analysis: The Viking Raiders dominated this match like it was clock work. Nothing special about this match since it was pretty one-sided. Rey Mysterio, Humberto Carillo, and Ricochet then cut a corny promo in the backstage area, where they talk about how grateful they are to team with each other and they assert that they are going to shut the O.C. down once and for all. 6-Man Tag Match coming up NEXT!
Rey Mysterio, Ricochet, and Humberto Carillo vs. The O.C. [Six-Man Tag]
The O.C. cut a responding promo and claim that they will defeat Rey Mysterio, Ricochet, and Humberto Carillo to make a statement to Orton. They are willing to hurt anyone who steps in the way to relieve their frustrations from Styles losing the United States Championship last week.
And the match is underway. Karl Anderson starts the match with Humberto Carillo. They perform some ground based offense to start things off. Carillo takes control early on with Anderson’s arm while tagging Ricochet. They deliver a double shoulder block and Ricochet goes for the cover and the two-count. He then tags Carillo back in, but Anderson charges Carillo into the corner and tags in Styles.
Carillo counters Styles’ attacks and bungee jumps off the ropes for a flying headbutt to Styles and the two-count. Styles clotheslines Carillo out of the ring and Gallows clotheslines Carillo outside the ring when the ref was not looking. Styles sends Carillo back into the ring and tags in Gallows. Gallows locks Carillo in a chin lock. Carillo counters with a headshot and enziguiri to Gallows. Gallows tags Anderson. Carillo gets the hot tag to Rey Mysterio.
Mysterio rallies with a flying meteora and hurricanrana to Anderson. He delivers a 619 to Gallows off the steel post. He dials up Styles for the 619 too, but Anderson comes back, stops Mysterio and slams Mysterio’s skull into the steel post outside the ring. The show goes to commercial.
Back from commerical, Gallows delivers a suplex to Mysterio and locks him in a chin lock. Mysterio tries to rally back but Gallows delivers a big boot to Mysterio for the two-count and tags in Anderson.
Rey Mysterio counters with a Chickenwing DDT to Anderson through the turnbuckle and gets a hot tag to Ricochet as Anderson tags AJ Styles. Ricochet rallies with clotheslines and drop kicks to the O.C. He then bunjee jumps off the ropes with a flying uppercut to AJ Styles and a standing shooting star press for the two-count.
Anderson and Gallows distract Ricochet off the apron and Ricochet runs into a Wheelbarrow Facebuster by AJ Styles for the two-count. AJ Styles runs into the Recoil by Ricochet. Gallows breaks up the pin.
Mysterio delivers the 619 to Anderson but gets a big boot by Gallows. Carillo jumps and delivers a flying crossbody to Gallows. Styles grabs Ricochet for the Styles Clash but Ricochet rolls up Styles for the two-count.
Styles then dodges Ricochet and delivers a Pele Kick. Styles picks up Ricochet onto the top rope. Ricochet counters Styles’ attacks as Anderson distracts him on the apron. Ricochet jumps off the top rope and delivers a moonsault to Anderson. He then refocuses on Styles on the top rope, but Styles catches him for Avalanche Styles Clash and the three-count. Randy Orton then expectedly comes behind AJ Styles and delivers an RKO to close the show.
Result: The O.C.
Grade: 3.0/5.0 Stars
Analysis: Solid main event. The right team won. Randy Orton’s RKO at the end of the show was a beautiful way to end it. Not a solid Raw but it has some strong points, and this ending was one of them.
