Bobby Lashley is currently embroiled in WWE’s most controversial angle, but he may also be suffering from an injury.

On the Dec. 2 episode of Raw, Bobby Lashley was arrested in Nashville for literally no reason by the bodyguards/police that Lana hired. Yeah, um, that was not great writing by WWE.

Lana ended up getting arrested, too, after slapping one of the officers for arresting Lashley and also doing such a poor job of protecting them from Rusev.

Basically, it was another week in this messy feud, which fans are looking forward to ending in a TLC match that puts over Rusev big time.

According to Cageside Seats’s Rumor Roundup, Dave Meltzer recently stated on Wrestling Observer Radio that Lashley may be suffering from a legitimate arm injury.

It’s important to write the caveat that he may have been speculating a little bit – hence the “may” – but it’s worth noting nonetheless.

This arm injury probably isn’t major, but it could be a reason why Lashley and Rusev didn’t have a match at Starrcade. Hopefully, he’ll be close to 100 percent by Dec. 15 at TLC so that he and Rusev can have a barnburner of a match.

Whether it’s because of the injury or not, the fact that Lashley and Rusev haven’t been in the ring has helped generate interest in this rivalry. Many fans are itching to see The Bulgarian George Clooney destroy The Dominator in a one-on-one match at Pay Per View, so separating these two accomplished strength athletes from in-ring competition has provided a boost.

Lashley’s toughness is the stuff of legend, but, again, hopefully this arm injury is minor and he’ll be ready to give it his all at TLC. Wrestling fans need to appreciate Lashley’s in-ring work more, and perhaps a match later this month at the Target Center will help jog back WWE fans’ memories of what the former Impact star can do.
