WWE confirms Roman Reigns vs. Baron Corbin for TLC
After months of bickering and battles, Roman Reigns and Baron Corbin will culminate their feud at WWE TLC 2019 in a (you guessed it) Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match!
Prior to now, since WWE had yet to announce any matches for the upcoming TLC Pay-Per-View (which airs in nine days), fans have been speculating what could possibly be added to the card, especially in light of certain rumors about possible matches and main events for the show.
However, now (via tweet), WWE have announced their very first match to be added to the TLC card. King Baron Corbin will go one-on-one with Roman Reigns in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match at the PPV.
These two have been going at it for months now. The bulk of their feud has seen both men fighting for position as the self-appointed locker room leader for the SmackDown brand, especially when the roster was in need of a leader during last month’s NXT invasion.
Their in-house squabbles nearly cost them the Raw vs. SmackDown vs. NXT Men’s Elimination Match victory at Survivor Series and led to Corbin’s elimination during the match.
Every chance he’s had, King Corbin (alongside cronies Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler) have attempted to belittle Reigns’ character and humiliate The Big Dog with, well, dog puns and dog mascots, as well as ill-advised comments about the former Universal Champion’s family.
Last week, on Friday Night SmackDown, their feud reached its zenith when Reigns decimated both Ziggler and Roode after the latter commented on the WrestleMania main eventer’s children. Reigns Speared Roode through the barricade and toppled a table on top of him before wailing Ziggler with steel steps.
Tonight’s episode of SmackDown will see Reigns go one-on-one with Ziggler in singles competition and, surely, the encounter will help intensify The Big Dog’s rivalry with Corbin on their way to TLC.
