WWE Chronicle on Rey Mysterio to air day before TLC 2019
WWE will continue their long string of Network exclusive Chronicle documentaries the day before the TLC Pay-Per-View. This time, to highlight Rey Mysterio.
WWE’s final Pay-Per-View of the year is set to air live on their Network streaming service exactly one week from today, but in the name of the holiday spirit, the company will also offer fans a little something extra that weekend as sort of a special treat.
The day before TLC airs, they will air the latest edition of their WWE Chronicle documentary series. This time, the focus on the Chronicle will be on United States Champion Rey Mysterio.
The news was originally revealed and reported by WWE Network News. While no specific details were provided as far as the contents of the documentary itself, it should be assumed that this follows the trend of past WWE Chronicle shows in showcasing the Superstar in a way that seamlessly blends reality with kayfabe.
It also appears likely that the doc will touch mostly on Mysterio’s most recent onscreen moments. That should likely include his feud with Brock Lesnar, his coaching of former UFC star Cain Velasquez and (perhaps ending with) his recent United States Championship win over AJ Styles.
And, truth be told, there is a good chance the doc could drive even further than that, given his deep rooting history in the wrestling business.
As of this writing, Rey Mysterio does not have an opponent scheduled for the TLC Pay-Per-View, but common sense would suggest that him defending his United States Championship on the PPV against someone (or, perhaps multiple people?) sounds like a safe bet.
If the man behind the 619 does happen to wrestle that Sunday night right before his doc airs the prior night on Saturday, then TLC weekend is going to be a rather big one made in commemoration of Rey Mysterio.
