WWE has its most talented roster of wrestlers ever in the ring. The character development leaves something to be desired, but the quality of matches is difficult to touch.

Each card is loaded with talent who can produce an exciting match. A roster this deep can provide multiple dream matches for wrestlers and fans alike.

With only four weeks left in 2019, it is plausible to think of different dream matches that realistically could happen in WWE. There are still dozens of match ups that fans could become emotionally invested in.

Here are five WWE dream matches that could happen in 2020.

Rhea Ripley vs Sasha Banks

You won’t find a more on-fire wrestler in WWE than Rhea Ripley. She dominated Survivor Series weekend, while competing at Survivor Series and NXT War Games. Ripley is in line for an NXT Women’s Championship match on the Dec. 18 show against Shayna Baylzer. We do not know who will win the match, but conventional wisdom allows us to believe that Ripley is the right wrestler to defeat Shayna Baszler for the NXT Women’s Championship

Ripley successfully maximized her in ring time with the top talent on SmackDown. A highlight of Ripley’s confrontation with Sasha Banks was it gave fans a taste of what could be a classic match. There does not have to be immediate follow up on that interaction right away.

A match between Ripley and Banks at SummerSlam 2020 gives this rivalry enough time to build. We have seen top women’s wrestlers go up to RAW and SmackDown from NXT to challenge the champions. What we have not seen much of is, a wrestler from the main WWE roster, going back to NXT and challenging a NXT champ for a match on a PPV like SummerSlam.

The Boss would gain very little in defeating Ripley. The match would be a showcase for Ripley and strengthen her in the eyes of the fans.
