Daniel Bryan looks like an old school Bryan Danielson as he debuts new, clean shaven haircut at WWE TLC 2019.
WWE TLC 2019 offered yet another bizarre state of affairs involving The Fiend as a maskless Bray Wyatt defeated The Miz in a non-title match as The Fiend watched on. No, that’s not a typo. Trust me, it was weird. You will have to see it for yourself if you haven’t already.
However, Fiend laced shenanigans, somehow, were not the most shocking or perplexing series of events the crowd witnessed in the aftermath of the match. The talk of the town right now is the return of Daniel Bryan, who not only attacked Bray Wyatt after the match, but revealed his newly shaven face and head.
We have not seen the Leader of the Yes Movement with this less hair since his pre-Yes Man days in WWE between 2010 and 2012. Hell, really, Bryan looks as if he has even less hair than he did when he first entered WWE a decade ago.
This new look, in many ways, feels and looks like an old throwback to his pre-WWE days as Bryan Danielson where he wrestled on the indies and, most prominently, in Ring of Honor.
Which, may be troublesome for The Fiend given that his babyfaced (literally) days in ROH saw a much more lethal, brutal and ruthless Bryan than we’ve seen in recent memory, even compared to his heel run last year. ROH fans will remember that a Mr. Danielson was best known for decimating his opponents so harshly that he’d inspire crowds around the world to chant “You’re gonna get your f****ng head kicked in!”
And, low and behold moments later, Bryan’s opponent would get their f****ng head kicked in.
Whether he’s wearing a mask for their next encounter or not, Bray Wyatt may want to keep his head on a swivel.
