WWE TLC 2019: 5 biggest takeaways from the PPV
We are nearly 24 hours removed from WWE TLC 2019. What are the biggest takeaways coming out of the PPV that we need to keep in mind going forward?
Last night’s WWE TLC 2019 served as the company’s final Pay-Per-View event of the year and, as a result, the decade as well. And boy, did the company close out the 2010’s with a bang!
For a PPV that did not start to take shape until about 10 days before the show began to the point that matches were still bring added to the card mere hours before showtime, WWE TLC 2019 more than exceeded expectations.
With only three matches on an eight match card billed as title matches and no main World Championship matches to speak of, WWE TLC 2019 easily could have been seen as nothing more than a filler PPV before the much bigger Royal Rumble show commences next much. Luckily, thanks to some tremendous performances put in from a talented roster, this show turned out to be a stellar surprise.
This PPV wound up delivering a couple late contenders for Match of the Year, presented some memorable moments, and both fans and critics are alike are praising the PPV as one of this year’s better shows that WWE ever put on. Which, really, doesn’t say a whole lot when we remember WWE put on shows like Hell in a Cell, but I digress.
Beyond the show itself, enough happened at TLC that it has us wondering what major things should we expect not only for WWE’s two main leading brands, but the Superstars on each roster as we head into 2019. Which Superstars carry the most momentum heading into the Royal Rumble? What major facts did we learn (or were reminded of) at TLC?
Let’s answer all of those questions together as we discuss the biggest takeways coming out of last night’s WWE TLC 2019.
