WWE TLC 2019: 5 biggest takeaways from the PPV
Aleister Black and Buddy Murphy can carry the company
Aleister Black vs. Buddy Murphy was a match that so many fans around the globe were eagerly anticipating heading into WWE TLC 2019 and needless to say, the match lived up to and (in some ways) exceeded expectations.
These two put on a bonafide wrestling clinic before The Dutch Destroyer finally put a nail in The Juggernaut’s coffin with a Black Mass to continue his own undefeated streak. Both carry some strong momentum not only going into 2020, but they carry enough momentum to justify establishing bigger pushes for themselves.
It is no surprise that the Target Center were just a little bit quiet throughout the night, but the majority of the crowd came alive during this match, especially near the end with dueling chants for “Let’s go Buddy! Aleister!”
The ability to bring a crowd back to life and turn them around like that typically leads to longevity in this industry for wrestlers and I expect the same for both Buddy and Black. In fact, not only do I think both men will receive huge pushes towards the midcard title picture (maybe even the world title picture, under the right circumstances) after this in 2020, both men have potential to become key figureheads in WWE’s main event roster moving forward for the next coming years.
Both men have bright futures with the company and after their match stole the show last night, we could be seeing a lot more from them going forward, as I expect they impressed a lot of important names in the back.
