After Kairi Sane suffered an injury in the main event of WWE TLC 2019 last Sunday, we’ve learned that neither Charlotte Flair or Becky Lynch are being blamed.

As many readers should recall from last Sunday, the main event of WWE TLC 2019 was occupied by a Women’s Tag Team Championship retain from The Kabuki Warriors over Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, but most of the talking points of the match in the aftermath concerned fear that one-half of the champs may have suffered a concussion related injury.

Those suspicions of an injury have since been confirmed, but as we reported yesterday per a tweet from Tom Colohue, the injury may not be as worrisome or severe as originally suspected, given that Colohue learned that Sane was recovering well and more “cheerful” than expected.

In addition, she was able to make an appearance during last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw. Granted, it appears she has not been cleared to compete, but the fact that she was able to walk up and around with ease 24 hours after such a scary concussion situation is a blessing in itself.

Tom Colohue was able to reveal some additional follow-up information over at Sportskeeda on the matter today. He’s learned from backstage sources within WWE that nobody blames either Becky Lynch or Charlotte Flair for what happened to Kairi Sane.

The general belief is that both Flair and Lynch could only do their job to the best of their ability, as Sane’s condition was not clear until late into the match and was most apparent during the spot where Flair powerbombed Sane through a table.

In fact, both Flair and Lynch did their due diligence to ensure Sane was removed out of the match as quickly as possible when it was crystal clear that the Pirate Princess had suffered an injury.

Neither Flair or Lynch should be blamed for Sane’s injury under any circumstance, but it is reassuring to know that nobody in WWE feels like either is at fault.

Accidents and injuries happen. What wrestlers do during a match after an injury is clear is almost more important than how the injury happened to begin with, and when Sane’s injury was clear, her opponents took the right steps to ensure no further injuries were caused.
