The Street Profits are headed places in WWE, and the former NXT Tag Team Champions have officially signed multi-year deals with the company.

On Tuesday night’s WWE Backstage on FS1, Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin reported on his “Satin Sheet” segment that The Street Profits have signed multi-year contracts with the promotion.

Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford have been fan favorites since NXT, where the Full Sail faithful would dance and wave Street Profits-themed Black solo cups to their “I bring the swag like nobody can” entrance music.

Ford and Dawkins would win the NXT Tag Team Titles and debut on Raw in backstage segments as champions, since they were part of a handful of NXT superstars to receive early call-ups in the beginning of 2019 as a way of brightening up a dragging product.

At first, they mostly lended their talents to backstage segments. Ford has always been one of WWE’s most charismatic performers, but Dawkins has also come into his own as a talker. He’s shown off some great acting chops.

Finally, The Street Profits made their presence felt in the ring on Oct. 21, defeating The O.C. in a statement-making win. They have since been regular components of the tag team division in the Fall and Winter, and while they recently lost a Raw Tag Team Title match to The Viking Raiders, they look like future champions in 2020.

It’s great to hear that Ford and Dawkins have signed long-term deals with WWE, and hopefully they are getting a great payday in the AEW era. The Street Profits have the potential to be one of the best tag teams of the 2020’s, and they are guaranteed to have a handful of tag title runs.

Ford should also have a great deal of success as a singles star, as it’s not an exaggeration to say that he has world championship talent both in the ring and on the mic.
