WWE is ready to throw a major offer at Killer Kross, who was recently released by Impact Wrestling, but they may be willing to offer more than just a strong financial package to convince him to sign.

All the major wrestling promotions are poised to battle for Killer Kross’ signature, and WWE have “significantly high” interest in signing him, as reported by WrestleVotes on Twitter. The company is set to push to sign Kross harder than they would most free agents, since he had a great deal of success with his wonderful, unique character in Impact Wrestling.

Now that Kross is finally a free agent, he should have a slew of offers from the likes of NJPW, AEW, and WWE. He will be at MLW’s FIGHTLAND on Feb. 1, but it seems like most wrestling fans have their eyes on AEW and WWE as the two landing spots for Kross. After all, they are the two biggest promotions in the United States right now and have major TV deals.

We have seen wrestlers pick AEW over WWE before, though. The Elite come to mind as obvious examples, but Kris Statlander also chose AEW due to a higher salary and a faster trajectory to meaningful television time. Statlander already has a title opportunity on the New Year’s Day episode of Dynamite.

In addition to reportedly being wiling to offer Kross a financially robust offer, WrestlingNews.Co’s Paul Davis reports that WWE would be willing to fast-track Killer Kross to the main roster.

That’s a major surprise, since it’s something that only megastars with years of experience at the top level like AJ Styles or superstars of the past like John Morrison get. Kross has competed in Lucha Underground, Impact Wrestling, AAA, and others for a handful of years, but it would seem like he could benefit greatly from being in the Performance Center and NXT.

And honestly, isn’t NXT a part of the main roster now, especially after Survivor Series? Furthermore, some wrestlers seem to prefer being in NXT, such as Finn Balor, and Kross’ character may do a lot better with Triple H’s brand of choice.

Either way, this is an interesting rumor, because if WWE is indeed willing to put Killer Kross in the “upper card” scene on Raw or SmackDown, as the report states, then that shows us just how much they value Kross. It also shows wrestling fans how much they don’t want AEW to get their hands on Kross, who would be by far one of their best performers. AEW have a clear lack of star power distributed throughout their show, so Kross would be a real difference-maker for them.
