Trying to figure out a final spot for this decade’s Mount Rushmore was the hardest part of compiling this list. John Cena, Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks were all names that immediately sprang to mind for who were locked in for this list, but trying to come up with a fourth was tricky. There were so many different options for who could grab the final spot.

Undertaker could’ve been here just on the grounds of being The Undertaker. Speaking of, Brock Lesnar had a huge decade, if only for ending Taker’s WrestleMania streak. Then there’s Becky Lynch, who’s breakout has been more recent these last couple years, but her impact has been massive since becoming The Man. Then, of course, we can’t forget CM Punk’s historic WWE Championship reign.

Chris Jericho could be on a wrestling’s all time Mount Rushmore. Same with AJ Styles, after the decade he’s had in and out of WWE. Other wrestlers like Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns all have legitimate claims to earn a spot on this list.

But when trying to figure out who really made an impression in WWE this decade, I looked at the very beginning of the decade and suddenly, the answer was clear. The answer was someone who’s truly had an upward climb throughout the entirety of the 2010’s. That someone is Kofi Kingston.

Kofi Kingston began 2010 with a miraculous save in the Royal Rumble match. He capped off the decade this year by successfully defending the SmackDown Tag Team Titles in a show stealing ladder match. In between that time, he’s won multiple midcard and tag team titles, shattered records and turned WrestleMania into KofiMania with a long overdue WWE Championship win.

He may have never been the guy like Roman Reigns or even The Man like Becky Lynch, but Kofi proved to be the go-to guy ready to fill whatever role WWE asked of him to fill no matter the placement on the card, regardless if he was a dark match curtain jerker or a main event closer.

Not only has he filled each role gladfully, but he excelled and improved every time with standout performances.

Seeing where Kofi Kingston began at the very start of the decade and then seeing where he is now has been awe inspiring to witness. It would be a disservice for me to say that he didn’t belong in WWE’s Mount Rushmore of the 2010’s after everything we’ve seen.
