Roman Reigns is an early favorite to win the Men’s WWE Royal Rumble match next month, which would set him up for a WrestleMania 36 main event against Bray Wyatt.

The Sole Survivor in the Men’s 5-on-5 Elimination Match at WWE Survivor Series 2019, Roman Reigns looks poised to re-enter the main event scene in 2020. The company’s top male star, Reigns wasn’t booked as frequently in major programs – let alone those around a world title – this year in his return from kicking leukemia’s ass.

But Reigns should stand tall in a world title match soon. The WWE 2K20 cover star has been one of the most important wrestlers of the 2010’s and will be just as crucial to the company in the 2020’s. And his return to the summit of WWE could take place on Jan. 26 with a second career Royal Rumble victory.

According to a source within WWE close to WrestlingNews.Co’s Paul Davis, Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt is the “leading candidate” to main event WrestleMania 36 when looking at the possible ‘Mania main events on the SmackDown brand. As expected, the source informed Davis that WWE aims to book Reigns as the company’s “top face” again.

That’s exactly where Reigns belong, and fans disputing are, at this point, clearly delusional. Reigns is one of the the best wrestlers in the world and is still the biggest star in the company. His wins over Triple H, The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, and John Cena seal that.

Reigns should get a major pop when he wins the Rumble, and if WWE play their cards right, he will be cheered by beating Wyatt at WrestleMania 36. Wyatt is a good enough performer to play the heel role correctly and help set Reigns up for a massive, feel-good title victory at WrestleMania 36. Remember, Reigns never lost that title; he had to give it up due to leukemia. So it’s only fitting for the top star to win it back at the Show of Shows.
