In a backstage update from Kayla Braxton, we learn that Corbin demanded for the number one contender’s match to be postponed to a later date. Instead, WWE officials decided for Corbin to be removed from the match and instead, the match will be one on one between Daniel Bryan and The Miz.

Elsewhere, Mandy Rose tells Sonya Deville to escort her to the ring, but Deville refuses since Rose wasn’t by Deville’s side due to “meat sweat,” leading to Deville’s lost to Carmella. Then, Otis offers a homemade holiday fruitcake to Mandy as a thank you for last week’s kiss and an apology for getting meat sweat on her. Mandy accepts it and goes to her match.

Mandy Rose vs. Carmella

Lockup to start, as Mandy pushes Carmella into the corner with a series of shoulder blocks. Carmella blocks a forearm before moonwalking, but gets tackled and punched to the ground for it. After an irish whip, Carmella bounces off the corner and gets knee’d in the face before getting locked in a double arm lock.

Back to her feet, Rose smooshes and taunts Carmella before receiving a slap to the face. Mandy slaps back and Mella responds with a series of punches, then a hurricanrana. Followed by a clothesline for a two count. Mandy tosses Mella face first into the middle turnbuckle to get an advantage.

The two trade roll up attempts, both getting two counts each time. Carmella reverses an O’Connor Roll to hit a Superkick for the win.

Winner: Carmella

Grade: B+

This was wildly entertaining. Wish it was a little longer, but at the same time, perfect length for a great TV match. Lovely to see Rose improving every week while Carmella is slowly being built back to prominence every week. Tis a win-win.

After that, we get another Sheamus return hype package about how certain men stepped up in his absence, yet none of them deserve to call themselves champion. Interesting.
