Return pops are some of the best moments in Royal Rumble matches, and WWE Royal Rumble 2020 should have its fair share of memorable returns. Here are five potential ones to watch for on Jan. 26 at Minute Maid Park.

There are a handful of superstars who could return from injury at WWE Royal Rumble 2020, in addition to other notable names who have either been off television for a break or commitments outside of wrestling.

Here are five superstars who could return at the upcoming Royal Rumble Pay Per View in Houston.

Ruby Riott

The former leader of the Riott Squad, Ruby Riott was once one of WWE’s fastest-rising stars. She’s been out for months after needing surgery on both shoulders, but she is expected to return to WWE programming in January, making WWE Royal Rumble 2020 the perfect return date for her.

Riott is such a talented wrestler in the ring, and she developed into one of the company’s more compelling characters in her stable with Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan. They’ve since been split up – for the better, I’d argue – which means Riott can flourish again as a singles star. Wrestling fans will fondly remember her program with Natalya and her amazing Fastlane 2018 match with Charlotte Flair as high points for her.

Many fans have missed Riott, who could return to a nice pop to set her up as a punk-rock babyface again in 2020.
