There’s no love lost in kayfabe between Alexa Bliss and Becky Lynch, who were former rivals for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in 2016.

More than three years after being drafted to the SmackDown brand, Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss have become two of the biggest stars in WWE with multiple title reigns on Raw and SmackDown between them.

But they started out as rivals on the Blue Brand, feuding over the SmackDown Women’s Championship back when Lynch was the brand’s first ever women’s champion. Their feud didn’t last long, as Bliss won the title off Lynch at TLC 2016. But while it lasted, they gave fans some memorable moments, including Lynch’s impassioned promo about her roots and Bliss’ nWo nod with a yellow spray can.

Since then, Bliss and Lynch have blossomed into two of the biggest stars in wrestling, with Lynch currently reigning as Raw Women’s Champion and WWE 2K20’s cover star. But despite all that’s changed, there’s still no love lost between them.

Take a look at the shot Bliss took at Lynch’s T-Shirt.

Since she deleted the tweeted, Bliss took a shot at this shirt from Lynch. She essentially said that The Rock had a similar slogan but did it better than Becky.

“I don’t care about your stupid feelings” isn’t a new T-Shirt slogan for Lynch, but it is a very cringeworthy one that incorrectly sums up the more complicated character that Becky has portrayed since her meteoric rise to becoming WWE’s top star.

While Lynch was arguably the superstar of the year in 2019, winning both women’s titles in the first all-women’s main event of WrestleMania while having Match of the Year contenders with Asuka and Sasha Banks, Bliss quietly had another strong year. Her work with Nikki Cross as Women’s Tag Team Champions shouldn’t go overlooked.

But don’t expect Bliss’ shot and reference to The Rock to lead to any feuds between now and WrestleMania 36. Although WWE doesn’t strictly hold to the rules of the brand split, Bliss is happy on SmackDown and Becky is thriving on Raw.

Oh, and don’t start another “Stan Wars”. Sasha Banks vs. Alexa Bliss was enough. We don’t need to work ourselves into shoots here, because social media shots are all part of the fun in WWE as long as they don’t cross a line. This tweet certainly didn’t, as it was a well-timed diss at a T-Shirt that most of us have criticized for being inane and right up Vince McMahon’s ever-so-callous alley.

Hell, she probably deleted the tweet because people were already taking it too seriously. Probably a wise move.
