With 2019 coming to a close, it’s time to project which NXT stars will take home some year-end awards on the Jan. 1 episode.

We are quickly approaching the end of 2019, which means it’s time to reflect on the good and the bad that wrestling gave us through those 365 days. In the case of NXT, there was far more of the former than the latter and while that often lends itself to breezier articles and fewer headaches for those who watch and cover the show, it also makes pieces like this a bit of a challenge.

What article, you ask? Well, if the title didn’t give it away, that would be an article predicting which NXT wrestlers will take home one (or more) of nine year-end awards that WWE’s (still) developmental brand will hand out on the Jan. 1 episode of NXT.

That’s right, if you aren’t gonna be busy watching college football or All Elite Wrestling (AEW): Dynamite, you’ll find out which of your favorite NXT stars won Male Competitor of the Year, Female Competitor of the Year, Overall Competitor of the Year, Tag Team of the Year, Rivalry of the Year, TakeOver of the Year, Breakout Star of the Year, Futur Star of NXT, and Match of the Year. Or you could watch that other stuff and find the results online the next day.

Either way, you’ll know who won these trophies by the end of New Years Day. Until then, let’s look at who could nab these golden ring bells.
