6. Survivor Series

Nobody gives a damn about brand supremacy, but WWE actually told the right story here and made Survivor Series worthwhile for the first time since they opted against pushing Dolph Ziggler for the last viable time in his career.

Digression aside, NXT HAD to win Survivor Series this year. And they did. It was a convincing win, too, which helped build up Keith Lee and Rhea Ripley into two of the biggest stars in the company. Seriously, nobody had more momentum coming out of that weekend than Ripley, who cashed it all in with a magnificent title win over Shayna Baszler on Dec. 18.

5. Elimination Chamber

This Pay Per View featured two of the most meaningful Elimination Chamber matches in history. How else can you describe watching Bayley and Sasha Banks winning the first Women’s Tag Titles in WWE after working so hard to get the championships introduced by Vince McMahon? And it was only fitting they won in the hellacious structure that threatened to break them apart – for good – in 2018.

However, Kofi Kingston was the star man in this PPV. After his ridiculous Gauntlet Match performance, Kofi officially started the Road to WrestleMania with one of the best individual performances in the history of the Elimination Chamber.

Go watch this one back and immerse yourself in KofiMania once again. I cannot sing his praises enough, because words hardly do justice to the year he had. And in a lot of ways, it all truly began in Houston.
