Becky Lynch (c) vs. Asuka [Raw Women’s Championship]
Becky Lynch and Asuka start this match with some ground based offense. Lynch locks Asuka in the Dis-Arm-Her on the ropes but lets go after the four count. She delivers a missile dropkick to Asuka for the two-count but Asuka rallies back with a missile dropkick of her own.
Becky rallies back with knees to Asuka’s back and a bulldog for the two-count. She attempts the Becksploder on the apron but Asuka counters into a potential German Suplex off the apron but Lynch counters with a Front Suplex as Asuka falls hard onto the mat.
Lynch charges off the apron with a flying forearm and a Becksploder to Asuka into the barricade. She tosses Asuka back into the ring and delivers a Leg Drop to Asuka for the two-count. Asuka rallies back with a Spinebuster for the two-count.
Lynch comes back with a Springboard Side Kick and an Avalanche Rock Bottom from the top rope for the two-count. Asuka rallies back with an Arm Bar but Lynch gets to the bottom rope. Asuka delivers a German Suplex and three swift kicks to Lynch.
Asuka delivers the Empress Kick Combination for the two-count. Lynch rallies back with the Dis-Arm-Her but Asuka attempts a roll up pinfall for the two-count. Lynch counters with an Inverted DDT for the two-count.
Asuka tosses Lynch into the referee to get some time to spit green mist into Lynch’s face. Lynch saw it coming and delivered a swift under-kick to force Asuka to spit green mist into her own face and lock in the Dis-Arm-Her for the tap out and the victory..
Result: Becky Lynch
Grade: 4.0/5.0 Stars
Analysis: Along with Wyatt-Bryan, this match had amazing storytelling and in-ring psychology, especially the ending. Great way to end the rivalry and assure that Lynch collected her one last debt. Definitely a match in contention for stealing the show.
